Finding What's Your Life Purpose and Passion
Before you are old AF

You ever wake up, realize how old you are, and then say to yourself, hey, I’m going to die because I’m old? Yeah, that’s me. I’d venture to guess that’s a midlife crisis right there. Sh*t, just saying it gives me a midlife crisis. So, I said to myself, Self, you need to figure out what it is that you want.

How Do I Discover My Passion in Life
I woke up this morning around 8:00. That’s the time that my husband sets the alarm for me. Like many of you, I’m in the midst of a coronavirus lock down. One of the benefits of said lock down is that I get to wake up later to do my day job. I dislike getting up earlier, but I think for no other reason than I am used to getting up at 8:00. I also dislike getting up later because I feel my day has gone away, and in a way, it has because I slept through it.
The first thought I had when I woke up was all of the work that I needed to get done (for my day job). And I dreaded it.
This is not passion. This is anti-passion. In other words, this is corporate America. And it sucks.
And I’m one of the lucky ones. I have a steady job, with a steady income, doing somewhat what I love to do (write).
But, is there more? I’ve always thought there was.
Is There More To Your Life?
I think many people struggle with finding out what they were meant to do on this Earth. I did a quick Google search, and it came up with 390,000 searches are done each month on the question “how can i find my passion in life?” That’s a lot of people who haven’t figured it out. More importantly, that’s a lot of people who, just like me, dread doing the stuff they need to do in order to pay the bills.
Life shouldn’t be this way. So over the next year, maybe longer, I am going to figure out what my passion in life is supposed to be. For those of you who are in the same boat as I am, I invite you to join me on my journey.
Along the way, I’m going to write about things that catch my fancy, like writing, finances, minimalism, cooking, DIY, and definitely, my dog. I will tell you what it’s like being a Korean woman in America. Most of all, I will try to just share a bit of what my life is like. We can take this journey together.
